The story of Dragon Ball Kai revolves around of Goku, his son Gohan who is named after his late grandfather,
and his many friends as they train in the martial arts, fight with aliens, and get into humourous altercations.
One of the biggest mysteries in our world is how anime writers and producers are thinking.
But fans obviously want less fillers, and they have listened. Keeping true to the original manga, making
this newly redone, newly voiced, high-definition re-airing of the Dragon Ball Z anime exactly what fans have wanted for years.
Originals whether its the mainstream Star Wars or Indiana Jones are sacred in nature. True fans always cry foul when obvious
alterations are made for commercial/marketing purposes. It is known that Toriyama wanted to originally end the series at multiple
junctures: the defeat of Piccolo, Jr. at the Tenkaichi Budokai; the death of Freeza; the death of Cell.
Is the original his intended plan which never was carried out due to Shounen Jump editors wanting to
keep making money hand over fist? If so, then surely the manga would have a huge chunk of its content cut out.
I'm all for re-tracing back to the sacred manga roots, but it does seem to open up a can of worms because of Toriyama's
original vision.
